She has assisted many people in finding relief from chronic health conditions using herbs and nutrition. As a Medical Intuitive, Charla is frequently able to understand underlying conditions causing health complications and systemic imbalances. As a member of the Weston A. Price Foundation, she often recommends traditional foods that have been known for centuries as superfoods in various cultures to guide people into more holistic diets that better suit their personal nutritional needs.

As the primary moderator of Facebook page IODINE SUPPORT GROUP and a lecturer on using Iodine for health, Charla has been assisting people in restoring their health using Lugol's Iodine and the Iodine Protocol for years.

Both Charla and her husband Michael are certified as Elite Master Practitioners in B.E.S.T., BioEnergetic Synchronization Technique by founder Dr. M. T. Morter, Jr, DC, PhD, of Morter HealthSystem. B.E.S.T. is a non-forceful, energy balancing hands on procedure used to help reestablish the full healing potential of the body. Understanding that the body makes no mistakes regarding health and longevity, B.E.S.T. principles acknowledge the concept of Interference we create with our conscious and sub-conscious mind. This Interference caused imbalance in the autonomic nervous system leading to exhaustion of our organ systems over time. Researched at major universities, taught in several Chiropractic Colleges and in professional continuing education seminars, B.E.S.T. is recognized as an effective healing science. Using this system, people are able to release emotional traumas that block the natural healing process.

Charla began meditating at age 11 and practicing yoga at age 13. In her early 20s she was trained and menotred by Joyce Creamer for several years in Ashtanga Yoga, classical Indian yoga as taught by Patanjali, the father of yoga. Sha has also studied with Roy Eugene Davis, founder of the Center for Spiritual Awareness in Lakemont, Georgia. Roy is a direct student of Yogananda. She also took classes with Dr. Ramamurti S. Mishra, M.D. and with Baba Hari Das, a yogi in Santa Cruz, California who is associated with the Mount Madonna Center. Charla began studying the Science of Mentalphysics Tibetan Breathing techniques and Tibetan meditation at age 18. While working at the Institute of Mentalphysics in Joshua Tree, California, which was founded by Master Ding Le Mei who learned in China and Tibet in the early 1900's, she taught the Initiate Group and Inner Chamber Courses developed by him. Mentalphysics now hosts Joshua Tree Retreat Center. Charla developed the Breath of Life Training, a fast-track series of those teachings for people who have already been actively expanding their consciousness.
